Registrations for the 2025 WA Little Athletics Zones Championships are NOW OPEN!

The WA Little Athletics Zones Championships will be held across three locations on the 15 & 16 of February 2025 with all Little Athletics Members aged from Under 7 to Under 15 able to register to participate.

ZONE 3 (SOUTH)
Host: Rockingham Little Athletics Centre
Location: Hourglass Reserve, Murchison Drive, Cooloongup, WA 6168
Centres: Baldivis, Dale, Cockburn, Peel Districts, Kwinana, Rockingham, Gosnells

ATHLETE ENTRY LIMITS
The maximum number of event entries per athlete is:

U7-U9: 4 events over the two days – no daily event limitations apply
U10 – U12: 5 events over the two days – no daily event limitations apply
U13 – U15: 6 events over the two days – no daily event limitation apply

WA LITTLE ATHLETICS STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS QUALIFICATION
The Zones Championships will act as the qualifying event for Little Athletics members in the Under 9 – Under 13 age groups for the 2025 WA Junior State Championships powered by Fuel to Go & Play. The Zones Championships will also offer competition opportunity for Under 7’s and 8’s, however these age groups do not progress to the Junior State Championships.

Qualification for the WA Junior State Championships will be allocated by:
For U9-U13 athletes – achieving a qualifying position at the Zones Championships, or achieving the qualifying standard throughout the course of the 2024/25 Little Athletics season. The quota of athletes per event will be detailed in the Rules and Regulations and will outlines the number of athletes that progress from the Zones Championships to the State Championships.

CLASH EVENTS
Whilst every attempt to minimise event clashes has been made, it is inevitable that clashes will occur. Majority of clashes are minimised by occurring closer to the end of the allocated field event time. Most clashes should only impact the call room times of events. Athletes should be aware of their clashes and inform the call room officials of their clash when arriving at the call room for the clashing events.

PLEASE BE AWARE there are starting heights for Triple jump and High Jump, if your athlete has not achieved this during the season they can not choose this event.

HOW TO REGISTER
The Zone Championships has no qualification requirement and is open to all Little Athletics WA members in the Under 7 (Born 2018) to Under 15 (Born 2010) age category.

Little Athletes can register via their Results HQ portal with all entries set to close at 11:59 pm on Sunday 9th of February.
Please note there will be no late entries accepted.

MEMBERS PLEASE BE AWARE that all walks are on the Saturday and all 1500m races are on the Sunday!
U13 boys 1500 walk that are nominating, not to nominate for the one on the Sunday. The Saturday one is the correct one.
