⚠️The Coastal Cup meet replaces normal competition at Bortolo Oval for that week. Our next home competition at Bortolo is Friday 12th December.

Saturday 6th December in Cockburn LAC this season.

8am Start

Coastal Cup is a mid season competition with our zone neighbours Kwinana, Baldivis and Cockburn, allowing athletes the opportunity to gain experience competing against athletes from other Centres at differing venues.

Competing athletes earn points for their Centre. The total points for the Centre are then adjusted on a Pro Rata basis, so that no Centre is disadvantaged due to size. The Coastal Cup is awarded to the Centre with the resulting highest points score. A Shield is also presented to the Centre that has the greatest percentage of athletes competing compared to the number of registered athletes.
Events shall be run under Athletics West Rules, with the exception that the field events will only have 2 attempts.

This event is a points-scoring day for Peel athletes, contributing to end-of-season awards and their event count for Centre Championships qualifying. However, please note that personal bests don’t count towards end-of-season awards since we’re not at our grounds.

Parents are required to help out when needed (there may be a parent roster created once all the details are released). There will be no parents allowed within the arena (inside track) and on field sites -unless they are assisting at an event. We ask that you respect all roped off areas and follow any signage or directions from Officials.

🛑All athletes must wear their Centre uniform top with their number and plain, black shorts.

This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to have a chance to compete against athletes from other Athletics Centres, make some new friends, and, of course, to have fun!
