The State Relay Championships are a competition between Little Athletics WA Centres. Athletes compete in Track events or Field events and are selected by their Centre.
Note the below information relates to the 2018 event and is subject to review for 2019.

Track Relays Each Centre is eligible to nominate one team (minimum of four maximum of five members) for the Track events.

Teams receive Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals for the first three places.
Centres compete each year for the girls and boys Perpetual Shields, and points are allocated according to results.

The events for the Track Relay are:
4 × 100 metres for U8 to U17 age groups, including the mixed U17 age group;
4 × 200 metres for U8, U9 and U10 age groups;
4 × 400 metres for U11 to U16/17 age groups, including the mixed U17 age group.

Field Relays
Each Centre is eligible to nominate one team of either two, three or four competitors for Field events.

Points gained by the Field Relay Teams will go towards a joint Girls & Boys Trophy. U10 to U17 age groups, including the mixed U17 age group.
