Entries are to be done online and LAWA fees will apply

The State is divided into 5 zones, Peel is in zone one along with Kwinana, Rockingham, Baldivis, Cockburn and Dale.
The Zone Championships are held to determine which athletes will progress to the State Championships. Zone Championships are the heats and quarterfinals of the State Championships.
Athletes entering Zones must understand that if they QUALIFY for State Championships then they are COMMITTED to competing on the weekend of the State Championships.
An athlete can nominate his/her preference of events on the entry form provided by the Centre.
The Executive Committee will make the final decision, based on time, distance and performance during the season. The Pentathlon Points System is being used as a guide.

HEATS & QUARTER FINALS RULES

• U7 and U8 athletes will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze at the Heats & Quarter Finals weekend and will not proceed to the Semi Finals and Finals.

• The number of competitors qualifying in each event to progress through to the semi Finals and Finals will be determined by the Board of Management, having regard to the total registrations in the Zone.

• Competitors in the U9 to U15 age groups must have a performance recorded during the zone competition to progress through from the Heats & Quarter Finals (Zones to the Semi Finals/Finals (States).

• U16 and U17 age groups in Metro Centres will not compete in the Heats & Quarter Finals but will nominate to the Semi Finals and Finals. Nominations forms for these age groups will be sent direct into the LAWA office by each Centre when the nominations close with the Zone Co-ordinator.
